Why hello there... I'm BAACCK! Sorry for the LONG hiatus, I wasn't getting any LOVE (readers/comments/followers etc.) and I've had the runs all week, so I decided to take a short break.

Anyway, I have been DYING to buy some loose pigments... so I did a lil research and concluded that I should try the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pigments. Since I'm asian, I waited until these were on sale, 20% off and free shipping at http://www.cherryculture.com/. And since these things were so freaking cheap ($1.50 per 10gram bottle) I decided to buy every single color! :0D

First of all, if you guys have not tried NYX cosmetics, you SHOULD... asap! NYX is a low-end drugstore brand sold at Ulta, perfume shops, and online. Many of the eyeshadows, lipglosses, and lipsticks are said to be comparable to higher-end brands such as MAC and are extremely pigmented.

I ultimately decided to get these particular pigments because they are dirt cheap. My friend and I split the cost of the pigments and divided them evenly into clear plastic bead containers that we bought at Joann fabrics.

Total, I spent $15 on all 30 colors and $4 for the bead container. :0D hehehehe DEFINITELY BEATS BUYING ONE MAC PIGMENT.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. Some of the colors are more pigmented than others and the consistency of each color is VERY different. If you like super shimmery colors then I would definitely recommend these.

My only complaint is the messiness of the pigments. They aren't true pigments like MAC pigments, they have a consistency of a soft powder (think flour). Some of the colors are SO deeply pigmented that you don't need to use a primer, while others are so sheer, that they only give off a hint of color... with or without a primer. :0)

For the price, I'm definitely NOT complaining. Buy here OR here, the 2nd site is cheaper.

Who Knew Cornrows Were So Easy To Do?

Where have I been? No where... I just decided that it wasn't worth my time to blog since I obviously have no readers, no comments, no followers etc. :0( But I'm bored today and I have today off (although I'm still working from home today cause our new assistants aren't capable of doing what they are asked) UGH

I'm also on my period right now too in case you're wondering.

But Yeah... I was really bored this weekend and have been wanting to do partial cornrows like BoA's. I think next time... or next time I go clubbing or something, I'm going to do them more diagonal and of course smaller.

URBAN DECAY Deluxe Eyeshadow in Ransom!

I've been dying to get this color. I have been searching ALL over for the perfect dark purple shade. I hate all the purple shadows that are either too light, or too pinky. This one is a deep royal plum and it goes on soo soft and smooth like butter. The texture of Urban Decay is my favorite (next to Stila shadows). But this shadow was freaking $18!

$18! No way would I ever pay $18 for a single shadow. I found the best seller on ebay, who sold it to me for $9.95 plus free shipping and threw in a full sized Hard Candy lipgloss. :0D If you're interested in getting really cheap Urban Decay products, I highly recommend this seller: best ebay seller EVER

This cute pinkish/purplish leather handbag by the SAK. I was browsing purses at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and stumbled upon this purse. It was on sale for $129 and the leather and craftmanship is top notch quality! I love it cause the handles fold under and can change from a hobo to a satchel. Also, this bag is a pretty close dupe to the popular Botkier Sasha hoba... but like $500 less! Here's a photo of the Botkier Sasha that I stole from someone's website.

I went on ebay once again and got a cheapo version from HK. I paid $2 including shipping and it works wonders! It's super easy to use and is basically like threading. I just sit at my computer and do my uppper lip (cause i have a crazy mustache), sideburns, and hair line! hahahhaa... its sick but it gets all the fine hairs, fuzz, coarse hair (upper lip of course) and it's pretty much painless if the hair is super short. It feels tingly, like you're being shocked a little. :0)

hee hee... so that's it for now. It's super hot outside so I'm probably gonna go to freddies and buy an inflatable boat so I can float at the lake. adios

Happy Father's Day! Despite being extremely ill, I was finally able to drag myself out of bed to make my dad a cake. I'm not entirely sure what I've been sick with but I suspect H1N1.
This is the finished product of the cake. We didn't have very many cake ingredients in the house, and I was way tooo tired to go to the store to buy stuff, so I managed to make use of what I had on hand. We only had boxed yellow cake mix, so I added my own little touches to make it my own. For instance, I used less water than what the box asked for and replaced it with apple cider vinegar. This substitution created little air bubbles, making a very moist, fluffy cake. :0)

I then added a layer of apricot - pinapple preserves and whipped up some homemade cream cheese icing. Cream cheese+butter+vanilla extract+confectioner's sugar! My dad LOVED the cake!

Last weekend houseparty.com sent me my party pack for the Secret Life of the American Teenager. They gave me a bunch of random things like notepads, pens, mirrors, posters, garbage, garbage garbage... BUT I absolutely LOVE this show and none of my friends watch it. So I "hosted" a party for myself and watched the dvd by myself. :0( lame I know.

Normally when my friends and I go to the club or bar, we get pho as a "morning after" hangover cure. But after reading all these freaking blogs of girls eating ramen, joy and I decided that we should try ramen instead of pho. There aren't many places that serve ramen in seattle, so we drove a good 30 minutes to Bellevue's Uwajimaya to try their $5 ramen. They only had three flavors: shoyu, miso, and curry. It was alright... not that great and not really worth $5. :0/ *sigh*

I finally received my welcome kit from Glamour Magazine! A pretty purple nylon tote.

Contents: Glambassador notepad with three glambassador mechanical pencils, personalized Glambassador business cards with my info printed on them, a white flip digital camcorder, and a bunch of target giftcards to give to friends!!!

My camcorder! I love this thing so far. It's about the size of a digital camera and shoots very clear short videos. I've been keeping this in my purse. :0)

I also received this in the mail! A tube of covergirl lash blast mascara and 4 shades of covergirl outlast lipstain pens! I'll definitely do a product review on the lipstains and color swatches, but I'm still sick so I don't want to contaminate the pens. I've used lash blast before because it's supposed to be one of the "best" drugstore mascaras, but I was actuallly VERY dissappointed with it. I might just give it away.

My new YSL palette!

I was browsing http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com/ for cheap discounted makeup and stumbled upon this! YSL autumn/winter 08 - 30 year collector's palette. I really didn't NEED it, but I was looking for a "touch-up" powder to keep in my purse.

As you can see there are three different shades. (I accidentally brushed off the gold YSL lettering in the center) The very far left shade is a light pink blush similiar to Benefit Dandelion, the center is a pinkish white highlighter, and the far right is a nude matte pressed powder. You can use each separately as a blush, highlighter, and face powder or swirl the colors together for an allover glowy look! I love it so far! :0) $24.00 including shipping and tax... great deal huh?

So there are all my photos that were waiting to be posted. I'll probably update later this week when I'm feeling slightly better. Adios!

Why hello there... long time no see! :0)

Sorry for not blogging for a while, but I have been WAY too busy being lazy. hee hee. I was kinda bored today, so I decided to change up the colors a bit. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Anyways, my dear fliend joy went to the motherland (taiwan) a few weeks ago and brought me back a love package! YEAHHHHHHHHH! I guess you guys probably want to see what I got.

I didn't get her from taiwan, but I needed to post a photo of MJ because look how BIG she's grown! She barely fits in her log anymore! crazy huh? I need to stop feeding her.

Momo girl GREEN BB CREAM! I haven't tried this on my face yet, but I've swatched it on my hand. It dissapears when blended in and literally makes your skin whiter/brighter and glowier!

you can't really tell from this photo, but i applied the bb cream to the left side of my hand, it's less red and definitely brighter looking.

Biore UV milk spf30 pa+. AMAZING stuff! Not only is this a sunscreen, but it's also a light tinted makeup. It goes on very runny (a milk-like consistancy) and dries into a matte powder. The runny consistancy prevents it from settling into fine lines and dry patches and it doesn't leave a white cast. I've been wearing this in place of my foundation these past few days because it's been soo freaking HOT outside and I hate feeling like I'm wearing a mask.

Shiseido Eyelash curler from Watsons (drugstore).

Comes with a spare pad and is less curved than most curlers. So far, I LOVE THIS. I don't know how but it curls all my lashes AND it keeps my lashes curled! I really wish i had gotten one sooner.

More Legere waterdrop BB cream! Very sheer and dewy. Thank you joy!

10 pairs of criss cross eyelashes! :0D I haven't tried these yet, but I've touch them and I can already tell that these are better than the korean kind because the spine is much more flexible and hairs are softer! My eyes get irriated easily when the spine is too stiff and wide.

Kanebo Kate Deep Eyes eyeshadow palette! My NEW favorite palette. The shadows are very shimmery, pigmented, and go on sooo smoothly! I've been wearing this palette everyday, the colors are very wearable it's the perfect pinkish purplish color. I'm really tempted to buy more colors online.

Here's a closer look. the dark blue is meant to be worn as a liner. all of the colors compliment each other so well.

Majorlica Maljorca lash expander frame plus mascara! :0D I'm sooo excited to try this out. I need to finish my full n soft mascara and nyx doll eyes first before I can open this.

Rose water paper facial masks. Apparently this works wonders for sunburnt skin! It's super moisturizing and leaves your skin super supple and hydrated.

Nose pore cleansing gel. I haven't tried this mask yet. But I guess it's a nose mask that's supposed to pull out impurities from your pores? *shrugg* hahaha...I wasn't quite listening when joy was explaining it to me.

Coni facial mask. This one is for brightening and lifting! :0D Made in france too!

Thefaceshop vita E facial mask with egg protein! I'm excited to use this one... i think it tightens and firms your skin. I recently found out that there's a faceshop store in Vancouver BC, so I'm planning on taking a roadtrip sometime soon to stock up on masks and bb creams and stuff.

Cleansing OIL! I am running out of my softymo deep cleansing oil, so this is perfect! The bottle is HUGE, I won't have to buy more cleansing oil for at least another 6 months. It's watson's brand cleansing oil but i'm pretty sure it'll work just as well as my favorite brands.Majorlica Majorca Jeweling eyes eyeshadow palette. I tried today and followed the instructions... WOW. My eyes looked amazing. Much like the kate shadows, this palette is very shimmery, pigmented, and smooth on my skin.

The colors are great for a light smokey eye. sexy.

HELLO KITTY SOCKS! I trip alot, so the added hello kitty grip should prevent me from slipping on floor.

Pantene samples. This shampoo is specially designed for asian hair! :0)

CONI peeling exfloliating GEL. So freaking cool! You gently rub the gel on your skin and it removes the top layer of dead skin cells. IT's pretty awesome, I did it and the skin that peeled off was like beige and gray. Apparently, this should be done twice a week to help you skin absorb your moisturizers and creams more effectively.

I also got some of those velcro hair thingies that keep your hair back while you're doing your makeup, but I forgot to take photos of them. oh well. but that's it for my bag of goodies! :0D WHEW! thanks again joy! You're way too generous! :0D

Every season Allure Magazine does some sort of "beauty box" promotion. They bundle a bunch of products that they get free from different companies and sell these boxes for way less than their actual retail value. For the beginning of April, Allure had about 400 "ballot boxes" which were essentially the same as the "ballot boxes" sold in January. First stop: Happy Hour at The Melting Pot! A nice refreshing glass of Hefeweizen.

Appetizers - lobster, shrimp and caviar in a puff pastry shell. MMmMmm pretty darn delicious (and quite filling) for $3.

California Salad with honeyed walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, and a raspberry vinegarette.

Spinach Artichoke Fondue - Fontina and Butterkase cheeses, spinach, artichoke hearts and garlic. EXCELLENT choice for those who dislike the strong wine or cheese taste normally associated with cheese fondue. This was a very mild fondue.

Breads, torilla chips, assorted veggies, and granny smith apples for dipping.

All gone! We scraped the bowl to get every last drop of the melted cheese. Then my genius friend decides that water will help us get the remaining cheese off the sides of the bowl. Dumbest. Idea. Ever.

Next Stop: Beaches at the Columbia River (we weren't full off of fondue). Asian style baby back ribs with coleslaw and a side of seasoned wedge fries that the waitress forgot to give to us. UGH.

Jerk Chicken Pizza - My fave dish that night!

Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of seasoned wedge fries. Pretty yummy... but not as saucy as I would have liked. The horseradish mayo made up for it though. :0)

Dessert - Butter Pecan Icecream in an Almond Roca Shell! So freaking good. Words cannot describe how unbelievably delicious that shell was! *drool*

Lastly, my baby MJ. She's so cute.

Coastal Scents Camouflage Concealer Palette

Hallo hallo! Time for a little update! woo-hooo! :0D

As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be reviewing the Coastal Scents camoflage concealer palette. :0D

Overall rating: 5/5

Pros: Inexpensive, great texture, buildable coverage, long lasting, spreadable & blendable, good selection of colors.

Cons: Made in China, cheap looking packaging, too many colors.

Price: $16.95+ shipping

The front of the palette. Looks a bit tacky with the "Coastal Scents" name across the front.

I think I'll end up putting stickers over the name or something... cause it's kind of embarrassing to have people know that I bought this from Coastal Scents.

The insde of the palette under natural light. 10 different colors. Most are yellow toned but some are pink toned as well. The bottom left shade is perfect for white people with pink undertones. hhahah. :0)

Size of each pan. Pretty darn BIG! As you can see, you get a TON of product from this palette. I love it because you can mix different shades to get the perfect match. I'm one of those people who's skintone fluctuates A LOT. Concealer is a product that MUST match your skin perfectly, otherwise it looks all fake and you look even more fug than you had prior to concealing.

I use the MAC 194 brush to apply on my face. But you can use any soft, semi-stiff brush to apply or even your fingers. I find the texture to be VERY smooth and creamy. You only need a little bit of the product and it blends into your skin soo beautifully!

The 3rd shade on the top row is my perfect match. For my purplish/brownish undereye circles I mix this shade with the lighter shade to the left.

Bottom row. So smooth.

Top and bottom rows. Nice assortment of shades. You can even use the super dark shades for contouring your face. I'll have to try that sometime.

Concealed!

Overall, I LOVE this palette. I've always had a problem with concealers being too thin or too cakey. This concealer is seriously the perfect texture and PERFECT coverage and it's soo freaking cheap! Anyway, BUY HERE.

Birthday gifts from Joy and my other big sister. Two pretty shades of pink for work and a glittery gold for gradient nails! :0D Good choice joy! Also, a couple of nivea balms (not all pictured), mega shine nyx gloss in frosty beige and extreme black nyx doll eyes mascara (from my sis), nail stickers to decorate my nails, and UDPP!!! I was soo excited when I saw this!!! I still need to try this stuff out! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU JOY! :0D

Betta BETTA BETTA! :0D A gift from my sister's boyfriend. I named him "Stephen." I specifically asked for a blue betta, so my sister's boyfriend drove me to petsmart and we walked in and picked a really pretty BLUE betta. Then I came home that night and put him in his tank and turned on the light. Turns out he's a red betta fish. -_-Ipum corner lashes from the korean store. :0D I got these because I haven't been able to find "darkness" lashes or "shisem" lashes ANYWHERE here in the northwest. But this particular brand of lashes is supposed to be comparable to shisem; darkness; and other korean brand lashes. We'll see how I like these and if I do... I'll buy more! $3.49 for 2 pairs of lashes or $2.49 for one pair. :0) I have yet to try these lashes, but so far I can say that these remind me of daiso lashes... except for the fact that ipum comes with 2 things of eyelash glue. Other than that, daiso lashes ($1.50 a pair) is made of the same synthetic hair, about the same weight, and same thick and somewhat stiff spine. I prefer false lashes with a very thin and flexible spine like ardells, but i really like the shape, cut, and length of asian lashes.

Lastly, ANOTHER handbag! :0D My mom bought me ANOTHER purse for my birthday! I was telling her how I wanted a leather handbag, so she got me this super super soft one! It feels good and it smells good! I LOVE it! In fact, the first night I got it, I gave it a pillow to sleep on next to my head. And the best part is that I can take the leather strap from my botkier bag and add it to the handles and it becomes a convertible.

My latest discovery:

Dryers yogurt blends "tart mango" and "tart honey" frozen yogurt.

It's extra tangy, much like red mango, pinkberry, crazy berry, etc. The tart mango tastes best with fresh fruit and various toppings. Whenever I get red mango, I get a small with two toppings... blueberries and crushed graham crackers. It's good and all, but it's soo freaking expensive, I can seriously eat the whole thing in 4 bites and it costs like $5+. Ridick. I know. -_- So with the new dryers tart frozen yogurt, I can cut up my own fruit for SOO much cheaper! It's like $4 for a HALF GALLON. The yogurt itself doesn't taste exactly like the yogurt shops, but close enough. It's super soft and sweet and tangy and with your fave toppings, it tastes pretty darn close to those expensive shops.

Fresh diced mangos and strawberries... and not-so-crushed graham crackers. hahaha. I was soo eager to eat this stuff that I didn't bother crushing the crackers very well, or dice the fruit into smaller pieces. oh wells. :0)

That's it... Hopefully I'll have more photos of my "bday celebration" up in seattle and portland. I'm also heading down to vegas next wednesday, so expect some inappropriate photos.

Sorry for not blogging in a while, I've been busy eating and sleeping. :0) I have a TON of photos from my birthday but I'll do another entry on that later. Anyway, strawberries are in season, so I picked up a ton from Freddies for cheap! woo-hoo!

Here's what I made with them:

Basic Crepe Recipe (borrowed from Martha Stewart Living Magazine)
Ingredients
Makes thirty-two 6-inch or twelve 10-inch crepes
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
2 cups whole milk, room temperature, plus more if needed
3 large eggs, room temperature
2 1/2 ounces (5 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted, plus more for skillet

Directions
Sift flour and salt into a large bowl. Whisk together milk and eggs in a medium bowl. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture, whisking to combine. Whisk in butter. Strain mixture into a medium bowl, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or up to 1 day). Batter should be the consistency of heavy cream; add more milk if needed.

Heat an 8- or 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat, and brush with butter.

Ladle or pour 3 tablespoons batter (for small crepes) or 1/3 cup batter (for large crepes) into pan, turning and tilting skillet to coat bottom evenly with batter.

Cook until top of crepe appears set, bottom is firm and golden brown in spots, and center is lifted by pockets of air, about 1 minute. Run a spatula around edge of crepe to loosen. Slip spatula under crepe, and gently flip in one swift gesture. (If it doesn't land quite right, that's OK; use the spatula to unfold or rearrange it.)

Cook until bottom is firm and golden brown in spots, about 45 seconds. Transfer to a plate, and cover. (The first one will not be your finest.) Repeat with remaining batter, brushing pan lightly with butter as needed (every 2 or 3 crepes).
Serve immediately.

hahaaaa!!!!! I know... it's not my birthday -_- (1 1/2 more weeks) but I'm going to make a birthday wishlist.

NYX round lipglosses. These are supposed to be very creamy, pigmented, and cheap! :0) I really want a couple of these to try. I currently have a $5 off $10 coupon at ULTA, so if no one buys these for me... I'll just get them myself. -_- I love love LOVE sinful colors professional polishes. They are ALWAYS on sale at Fred Meyers (buy one get one half off) and at $1.99 (not on sale), these are definitely a STEAL! They have a huge selection of colors, they cover nicely, are super shiny, and dry nicely. :0) I'd like to get a couple non-shimmery light pink shades and maybe some gold.

Nivea lipbalm. I just ran out of my Nivea lipbalm with spf4. I like to keep this balm in my purse for when my lips are chapped. I RARELY use up a whole tube of lip balm, so that says a lot about how much I love this stuff. :0) For my bday, I want the pink colored one and the SPF30 one.

Man... I REALLY REALLY REALLY want some cute boots kinda like these steve madden ones, but a little shorter heel and mid-calf length NOT knee length. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

So after reading nancy's post about organizing her makeup, I decided to take some low quality photos of my current makeup setup. I'm in desperate need of some clear plastic containers to place my makeup in. Everything is currently tossed around and I have no idea where anything is. ugh.

This is my "vanity." It's difficult to apply makeup on this thing, because I still haven't mounted the mirror to the wall yet. Also, as you can see... I occasionally use it as a desk because I sold my old one to my sister's friend (and made a fatty profit) BUAHAHHAHAHAH!!! It was gross anyway because my boyfriend was sleep walking and thought it (THE DESK) was a toilet and peeed all over it.The skincare corner of the vanity. I keep my sunscreen, superdefense, face serums, moisturizers, zit creams and stuff here. All my unused and unfrequently used makeup is locked up in that traincase. I keep my everyday foundations on the top... and in the voss container is some homemade brush cleaner. get recipe here haha... and the flowers were given to me by some boy and the thing tied around it was my corsage from prom. hee hee

Okay... now for the inside of the vanity. First section... random things that i used regularly. Mascaras, eyeliners, knickknacks.A little container with fake lashes, zit cream eye pencil sharpeners and other fun things.Bronzers, blushes, eyeshadows, yaddi daddi da.Brushes, brush roll with brushes, nail clippers, scissors, hair thingies, eye lash curlers, other necessities.Lipsticks, lipglosses, fake lashes, and i dont know what else...My NIVEA body lotions and creams, perfumes, polishes, budwiser... hahah idk why i keep that there.I LOVE this shoe holder thingy. I have the matching box thing that I keep random lotions and beauty products too. But I use this to store my hair stuff like hairsprays and hair waxes and hair powders and serums and stuff.

Yup! that's about it. So as you can see I REALLY need some cool trays, so that I can separate my makeup and easily pull them out. I'd also like to get that spinning organizer thingy from a couple of posts ago... for my makeup brushes and mascaras.

My current fave products:

Burts Bees cleansing cream. it's great. I have very dry and sensitive skin and this stuff is amazing. It doesn't strip my skin, it leaves my face feeling really cool and fresh, and it doesn't dry or irritate my skin.
Neilmed sinus rinse. It's very similiar to a neti pot, except you're able to squeeze the bottle so it creates more pressure and forces all the gross stuff out of your sinuses. :0) I've had a bacterial sinus infection since dec, and antibiodics haven't been helping. This stuff helps relieve some of my symptoms, but yeah... i still need to get more meds.

and... my new botkier handbag! it's an early bday present from my mom! :0D I like it cause it's the perfect size for me, and it has a shoulder strap and handles so i can carry it two different ways. the only problem i have with it is that it's not all leather. but i still love it. hee hee k bai

ugh. i'm sick. and i feel gross. -_- anyway... being sick hasn't stopped me from hanging out and doing fun things.

So my friends and I decided to take a fun little road trip to CANADA!!! This is a photo of Peace Arch at the Canada/Washington border. We drove up during MLK weekend which also happened to be College weekend up at Whisler. UGH. So getting through the border took like 2 hours each way. -_- So as we were parked behind 50 other cars waiting to get through customs... my friend joyyy and I decided to frolic on the grass and fullfill joyyy's lifelong wish of being at two places at once (canada/US). as we were walking back to the car and slowly passing each idling car, joyyy says to me... "hey i'll give you 10 bucks if you pretend to trip" -_- easy peezy. I won 10 bucks. hahah anyway

on our way UP to canada, we stopped by my fave fast food restaurant to pick up some famous stars. YUM YUM :0P```
We tried to hit up Robson street for zara, la senza, and aldo but we only managed to go to zara. Then we went to aberdeen center which is this really big fobby asian mall. the food court looked sooo good, but icouldnt' eat anything cause I was saving up my appetite for shabusen! But I did get some fresh mango juice/coconut milk and tapioca balls. *drool*

MmMmmMm SHABUSEN! ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BBQ AND SUSHI! SO FREAKING GOOD!!! OMFG!!! guafyieajaeuwhjeman!!!!!!!

cookin the meat! everytime we go there, we order so much food that we end up having to fight over who has to eat the last one. or find clever ways to get rid of the food like burning it on the grill, squishing the food under the rims of the rice bowls, hiding the food in the teapots...decorative rocks etc. :0)

And we can't go to Canada without hitting up the most authentic dimsum outside of hong kkong!

These Clams were soo freaking delicious!

Taro things aka wu goot. :0) these things are my fave dim sum food! On the 20th I hit up Macy's for the free makeup thing, and i actuually knew about the settlement way far in advance... but I managed go twice and ended up getting the lancome sunscreen and the fatale mascara. The sunscreen is much like the loreal one that I've been using, because it has mexoryl in it... which is a reallly stable uva/uvb sunscreen.

I got some urea cream for my eczema in canada, cause i have never seen it sold here in the US. I'll let ya guys know how it works on my skin.

The Daiso in Vancouver BC is sooo BIG compared to the ones here in the US. I actually got a really nice eyelash curler and some mascara primer for $1.50 each at the Daiso here, but I didn't get a chance to take photos. The makeup section in the Vancouver Daiso was HUGE! They sold EVERYTHING, including these paper masks. I love doing these. I've done the aloe ones and those were nice, but I found these hyaluronic acid moisturizing masks that are also supposed to be good for fine lines and wrinkles. :0DThen I got some white "nose pack" which works just like a biore strip (except it's liquid) and you spread it on your nose, let it dry, and rip it off. I tried it and it works like a charm! My nose is super super smooth now and i pulled out tons of gunk from my pores! Joyyy bought the charcoal "face pack" which is basically the same thing but it's black and for your whole face! I can't wait to try that one!

And finally... I managed to get my hands on a tube of bb cream! YAY my friend took a trip to taiwan and bought me legere water drop shiny pearl bb cream. It has shimmer in it to make my face a radiant glow, or it can be used as a highlighter to compliment my regular makeup! :0) it works pretty well, except maybe a bit too dewy for my taste. I also feel like this tube won't last me too long. so we'll see.

Snowed In and Recent Hauls

Yo yo yo! I don't know about you guys but the weather has been freaking CRAZY around here!
It's been snowing off and on since last Sunday!!! Anyway, I'm snowed in at home so I have nothin better to do than to blog. :0)

Despite the snow, I went to the Blazers vs Sacramento Kings game. It was fun... we won by nearly 40 points!!! :0D

hahah... they give out free chalupas at every game if the blazers score over 100 points. they won with 117 points I believe. uh... each person gets a free chalupa coupon as they walk out the door, somehow we (2 of us) managed to get 9 coupons?

My two zits. I've told nancy this before, but I've found that tea tree oil works VERY well for pimples... especially cystic acne. I'm always getting HUGE, PAINFUL cystic pimples on my chin and no matter what I do, they scar. Normally I use Salicylic acid for my pimples but it never works on my cystic acne. I've tried benzoyl peroxide but it's too harsh for my sensitive skin.

So I've been recently experimenting with 100% tea tree oil. These two zits popped up at the same time and were the same size about two days ago. The zit on the left was treated with tea tree oil and the zit on the right was treated with 1.5% salicylic acid. As you can see, the size of the zit treated with tea tree oil has dramatically reduced in size. I just dab a little drop (full strength) on my zits before bed... and it works wonders on cystic pimples! ( be careful though, cause it can dry up your skin)

"NOW" organic 100% tea tree oil.

This is the stuff I use. I've had this bottle for about 3 years now and it's still almost completely full. If you frequently do facials, a drop or two is really nice in a facial steam machine or a boiling pot of water. I think I paid around $7.00 for this stuff at super supplements, but you can pretty much buy it at any drugstore, vitamin store, or trader joes.

Mandom Lucido-L Hair Wax

I finally found the Lucido-L volume hair wax stuff. I've been wanting to try it after the rave reviews from pink. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well for me. I use a VERY small amount, less than a pea size but it gets SUPER sticky very fast. And just makes my hair very messy. <--not in a good way. :0(

I paid $9.00 for it at Uwajimaya. :0) I actually found TONS of japanese products there... including most, if not all of the products from pinks site. I wanted to buy more but I'm poor. hahha... so most likely next time.

Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil

During my trip to Uwajimaya, I also found this HUGE bottle of cleansing oil. It's Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil. I still have a lot left of my shiseido FT cleansing oil, but since I was already at the Japanese market and this bottle was soo huge (nearly twice the size of the shiseido one) I decided to buy a bottle.

This stuff is amazing. Very similiar to the Shiseido cleansing oil, but a little thicker in consistency, thus requiring a little more product for your face. I find it to be a little less drying on my skin than the shiseido version and it smells like oranges. :0)

I think in the future, I'll be buying this one for now on because it was only $11.25. hee hee... the small shiseido bottle was about 13 dollars I think, but a single bottle can last me 9 months (used daily). The Kose cleansing oil should easily last me more than a year due to the size.

If you've never used cleansing oil before, I highly suggest you do. It's sooo quick, you save cotton balls and water, it doesn't burn your eyes AT ALL, and it removes ALL traces of makeup!

Andis 1.5 in flat iron. $15 from walmart

I was in the market for a cheap, yet nice flat iron. I have fine, straight hair, so I really dont need to buy a $100+ flat iron. I usually use a flat iron in the morning to fix my bedhead, and "unstraighten" my straight hair... if that makes sense. My hair is soo straight that it falls flat, so i use a flat iron to make my hair curve around my head and add volume at the roots, by pulling my hair away from my scalp.

This one is EXCELLENT!!! It has a nice weight to it, heats up fast and HOT!!! Stays HOT and the temperature is very even. Doesn't snag my hair or leave crimps, clamps my hair well, and does BEAUTIFUL curls.

Nars Orgasm/Laguna Duo

I had to spend my $15 off $35 Sephora coupon, so I finally caved at got the Nars Duo in Orgasm and Laguna. The total before tax was like $22 which is a great deal! :0) So far, everyone is right. This stuff works well. It's extremely pigmently, so i only need to use a little bit... and the laguna bronzer looks very natural on my skin, not fake (pinky dirt like streaks). :0) Love.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal Cream

Finally, I got THIS in the mail the other day! Full size Elemis Pro-Collagen Eye renewal cream. Apparently I entered in the August Allure Blowout Sweepstakes this year, and I won. hee hee. I was really surprised when I found this at my door... cause it's actually pretty expensive. The eye cream got really great reviews. and is valued at $99.

I'm giving it to my mom though, cause it seems like it's for older skin. I do need a new eye cream though, any suggestions? I have dry undereye skin, dark circles, puffiness, and some crows feet. Nothing too extreme though, cause I don't want to become dependent on a strong eyecream.

Super quick update... for Nancy. In this post, Nancy mentioned that money was pretty much "non-existent." Well, let me show you guys a quick way to make some cash (and no NOT by turning tricks). -_-

Earlier this month, I discovered a site called http://www.flipswap.com/. For all of you who aren't familiar with flipswap, it's basically an electronic recycling website that will pay you in exchange for your old and used electronics. Currently, they only accept cellphones and ipods, but it's a great way to make some fast cash (in the form of an Amazon giftcard)... if you happen to have old cellphones lying around.

Of course I had to test this site out immediately! So I ran around the house to search for old electronics.

3rd generation paperweight... I mean ipod. The harddrive in this thing broke on me a month after the warranty expired. -_-

Joyce and Nancy asked me to blog... so here I am. I really don't know what to blog about BUT I FINALLY got my Sephora Friends and Family order in the mail! I saved 20% off, had it shipped to Oregon and paid ZERO tax, got free shipping, and used Ebates.com and will be getting $10+ back from the order. Lets take a look at my goodies:

Well, obviously I didn't get her in the mail but I did get a chance to visit my cousin who has been caring for my daughter Katie since Katie's birth. Here she is eating a chicken nugget. She's about 2 and a half years old now, but she still has that NASTY haircut. -_- Ughhhhhh I'm going to have to get her hair extensions pretty soon.

Here's what I got in the mail!!! Three samples, Benefit cream shadow (BI gift), Three Sephora toners, Shiseido eye masks (for my mommy), Shiseido lifting foundation (also for mother), MUFE HD foundation, and Sephora concealer.

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation #117: Normally I use the MUFE Mat Velvet+ foundation in #35 but I decided that I need a new winter foundation for my soon-to-be PALE face. Also, I like to have an assortment of foundations in different finishes. Mat Velvet+ provides a heavier matte finish, while the HD high definition foundation is more of a medium dewier finish. The new HD foundation also has a wider range of colors. Currently #120 is an exact match for me, but I ordered one shade lighter to use in about a month.

Sephora Brand Light Touch Highlighter (Yellow): I decided to get this for several reasons. First, because apparently it's one of the better dupes of YSL Touche Eclat radiant touch concealer. Second, because it was REALLY REALLY cheap $12. And Third, because I have HORRIBLE dark circles under my eyes (refer to my previous post -> the black around my eyes WAS NOT makeup). I have yet to try this, but I'll let you all know how well it works.

Sephora Brand Professionel Flawless Toner: I basically bought this because it was on sale. $4 each. I ended up buying 3 bottles but I probably should have bought 5+. It's suprisingly GOOD for $4 toner! It's a much thicker consistancy than most toners, very moisturizing, and doesn't sting at all. I would highly suggest this for people with drier skin types.

Benefit Creaseless Shadow in Pre Nup: I got this as my Beauty Insider gift after reaching 100 points. It's a dark pink color and is very pigmented. Very nice for a free gift.

I also finally got the shirts I ordered online. This was the design. Let me know if you understand it... cause so far, the people I've shown it to have not been able to figure it out. -_- *hint* The shirt is baby blue.

I'm definitely going to try to blog more, but I just need a digi cam. -_- gahiewuafhaeiufhaeiu!!! sucks. I'm using photobucket instead of blogger to upload photos because blogger is too slow, hard to use, and retarded.

I want something like this to hold my makeup brushes and mascaras. It rotates and has straps on one side. CUTE!

Also! Joyce recently got the MUFE hd powder and she loves it. So... I decided to get the Coastalscents 100% silica spheres which is supposed to be an exact dupe of the hd. I love MUFE but it's like $30 for .35 ounces and I've never been a face powder kind of gal, so I ordered the coastal scents version for $4 for 1 full ounce! amazing right!??! I ordered it last friday night around midnight and got it on monday! I paid $3 for shipping which was the cheapest (USPS), and it only took about 2-3 days to ship from florida to washington state! crazy!

It came in a little plastic container, so I took an old sifter jar I had from an old face powder and poured half of it in there. I still have half a container, so anyone who wants the remainer or the other half... you can have it.

Here it is on my hand... It feels really soft on my skin and I think my skin looks a little more blurred and matte, but I can't really tell yet. I've tested the MUFE version at Sephora and so far, this stuff is exactly the same.

I also got this italian badger chisel brush when I ordered the silica spheres, cause it was only $4.50. It's alright... I was looking for more of a fluffy brush, this one is too flimsy. The hairs are soft but I don't really like the feel of it. *shrugg*

yo yo yooooo!!! Hey everyone <--- and when I say "everyone" I really mean "the three people who actual read my blog." Ugh... so where do I begin? First, to all you readers out there who have requested an update, I would LOVE to blog more frequently but I don't have a freaking life!!! And it's not like I'm sOOoOoO busy that I don't have time to update, it's the compete opposite actually.... I'm so absolutely boring, that I have nothing interesting to blog about. -_- Second, just to warn you guys... this entry will probably be pretty short because I've been super gassy all day ~~and I think it might be time to make some roses in a few minutes.~~ And third... Anyway, today was Diesel's 30th anniversary and they were selling their limited edition jeans called the "Dirty Thirty" for $50 at select locations. So, I sent one of my servants to the Pearl Diesel to grab me a pair of 25x30. Well unfortunately... Diesel made 30,000 pairs ONLY in the 32 inseam, while the crazies lined up around the block super early, and bought all the freaking 25s! -_- freaifaheiufhaeiuh!!! Whatever. I still had my servant buy me a pair in 24x32 and a pair of 33x32 in mens just for fun.

I don't know... I squished my butt into the 24s and they fit but were super snug and SUPER long. I think I'll probably try to sell this pair to someone, then use the money to buy a pair of jeans that I REALLY love. The quality also doesn't seem as nice as they should be. The tag says "made in Romania" not "made in Italy," which kinda sucks.

As I had mentioned earlier, I dont have a digital camera... so I'm currently relying on my new cell phone (hence the poor picture quality). Originally, I had purchased the Sony Erricson W580i in black:

But yeah... I took this baby home, and I'm pretty sure I got a defective one because the stupid phone battery kept dying within 12 hrs and I kept getting "no network access" -_- Yeah lame I know. Thankfully, that gave me an excuse to trade it in for a more "reliable" phone! HAHAH I told my mom that there was no use in a phone that didn't function correctly, that the stupid phone wasn't compatible with the micro sd card that I had from my previous phone, and the resale value of the 580i would be next to nothing... considering that the phone was a piece of junk and free to begin with! <---I bargain with my parents A LOT and I'm and expert at convincing them at buying me things. After 'explaining' this stuff to my mom, I got her to cave. We went back to the at&t store and my mom bought me the LG shine in silver instead.

Which by the way, I am loving! :0)

Okay, finally I want to show you guys my cheap drugstore finds. :0) First of which is the "Perfect" line of products from Shiseido Fine Toiletries. I first discovered the "perfect cleansing oil" from uwajimaya/ranch 99 because i was looking for a cheap cleansing oil to try. Cleansing oil is quite popular in Asia and extremely difficult to find here in the US. I know the Shiseido Pureness line offers a cleansing oil, MAC does as well, Boscia from Sephora, Shu Uemura, and DHC. Initially, I had never tried cleansing oil before, so I wasn't going to pay $30+ on something that might not work for my skin. So i went to Uwajimaya over in Beaverton (cause i'm not into paying sales tax either) and they actually had a HUGE selection of imported japanese drugstore cleansing oils. I decided to go with the Shiseido FT brand because it was mid-priced at the store.

After trying the oil, I was pretty AMAZED by it. I have very sensitive/dry/eczema skin so I can't wash my face too often... haha! That's my secret, I rarely wash my face (yeah it's sick whatever) but I try to just rinse my face cause it's really THAT dry. :0P``` Normally I'm a milk/cream/lotion cleanser type of gal but that stuff doesn't really remove most of my makeup. Anyway, you take the cleansing oil and rub it on your face dry, then you take water and rinse your face with it. There are special agents in cleansing oil that makes it emulsify with the water, so you're not left with greasy residue. It works great and I don't have to use a makeup remover anymore! During my last trip to China, I went to Watsons and Walmart and I saw the Shiseido FT cleansing oil for super cheap like $3 usd (compared to $14 here in the US)!!! I don't know what i was thinking, but I didn't buy any. (stupid stupid STUPID *punches self in the face*) Anyway, my sister's boyfriend recently went to China and I asked him to buy me some perfect oil. He couldn't find it but got me these instead:

Perfect Milk and Perfect Whip, I put my perfect oil next to it for comparison purposes!

The Perfect Whip is too foamy and drying for my skin and the perfect milk is alright.

Finally, I'll just finish up this long entry and post some pics of some products that I got for a really good deal!

I got this tub of Sebastian Crude Clay. My "significant other" loves this stuff but it's really difficult to find and is pretty expensive ($25) for so little product. On my recent trip to Ulta, I found this thing for $9.99 with $3.50 off (so it was about $6.50) :0D

My next purchase was this HUGE tub of Nivea creme from Walmart for $7! This stuff is usually $7 for 1/4 of the size. I bought it to use temporarily until I finish up my new bottles of lotion. I've recently switched body lotions (usually use Nivea body lotions or Eucerin Plus, but Costco hasn't been selling these brands lately) So I switched it up to Bath and Body Works and Luberderm? yeah... BIG MISTAKE Both lotions suck! And I've been getting rashes on my body (because i have eczema).

Next, my local Rite Aid was going out of business, so everything in the store was 90% off! hahha... yeah crazy! I ended up buying TONS of stuff for really cheap, including my favorite dry hair shampoo (similar to the Bumble and Bumble Black dry hair shampoo but for really cheap). I also found this hair stuff and bought it cause i like to try new products. It was originally like $7 but with 90% off it was relatively cheap! and now with my shorter hair, I can use it to add texture and stuff.

Lastly, at the same Rite Aid sale, I got a couple of bottles of this sunscreen! My favorite sunscreen! Istocked up because it doesn't expire till like 2010! Normally, this stuff is $22 a bottle, but with 90% off it was pretty ridiculously CHEAP! I love it because it has some sort of chemical that wasn't legal in the US till recently, Mexoryl SX. The only brands that have the rights to the chemical is L'oreal. It's pretty amazing cause it's one of the few photostable sunscreens available, and used widely in Europe. If you plan on buying a chemical sunscreen, get this one!

So there you have it. I'll try to update more frequently, but i can't promise anything. hee hee ;0) I'm gonna take another trip to Seattle and to Las Vegas!!! wooo-hooo bai bai

OH and one last thing! If any of you guys want me to get to things from steve and barrys http://www.steveandbarrys.com/ let me know. EVERYTHING in store is $9.88 and I suspect that they are going to go out of business soon. I went there yesterday and got some really ugly and cheap pieces, but I believe that we have the only steveandbarrys in the area. The clothing is really poor quality and cheaply made, but I know some people some people are OBSESSED with sarah jessica parker and whatnot, so yeah let me know. :0)

As you all may or may NOT already know... I'm such a little bargain hunter! :0D I hate paying and rarely ever pay full price for anything. So on my recent trip to ross today, I found the cutest shoes!!! First a pair of red metallic Carlos Santana platform pumps, that I actually didn't buy because they were still too $$$ ($25) <--- yeah not that expensive but I didn't absolutely NEED to buy them. Anyway, I found two other pairs that were soo super duper cheap that I couldn't say no. :0D

Unlisted by Kenneth Cole black patent peep toe heels with red soles!!! Christian Louboutin Knock offs. ;0P``` I already have black patent platforms that I got from target for $8.50 BUT I love the red soles. The only problem with these is that it's a 7 1/2 and I'm a 6 1/2 or 7. I just figure after a long long night of wearing these, my feet will swell up and fit these babies perfectly! ;0)

Shoe #2

JOEY O (yeah never heard of this brand either) olivey-blackish with a hint of gold-fake alligator leather heels. :0) I just really like the little gold buckle thingy and it'll look ooooOHhhH SooooOOOoo gooOOoOod with a nice skirt or something dressier.

So how much were these pairs??? $11.99 for the Unlisted and $12.99 for the Joeys. What a steal huh??? :0D Plus it's the "Tuesday Club" at Ross and senior citizens get an additional 10% off their purchases. My mom and I make sure to only shop at Ross on Tuesdays, she's not even 65 but I guess she looks old??? *shrugg* Must be the curly hair and wrinkles. :0/ She just says to the cashier "I"m an old person" and they always give her the discount!!! haha that's like no tax. ;0)

Lastly, I also got a swimsuit to wear while in Hawaii this weekend. I've been searching forever for a new swimsuit and i finally found one, it's a bit big even though it's a small... but it'll do. I won't post pics of my swimsuit tonight but you'll all see plenty of pictures in my next post... HAWAII!!! ;0) k tah tah

Pussycat Dolls

I absolutely love love LOVE this show! I've always been a huge fan of the original Pussycat Dolls reality show, so I'm soo glad that they came out with a second season.

The premise of the show consists of a group of hot girls competing against each other to become "the next girl group." All in all, only three girls will make it. It's always so much fun watching shows like this... hot girls, good singers, good dancers, and lots of drama!!!

My favorites this season are Nicole, the cute blonde girl, who personally reminds me a bit of hilary duff (without the annoyingness); Natalie, the snobby hispanic girl who is FULL of herself... I suppose I would be too if I had her face, boobs, voice, and body; andTiffani and Charlie (tied), I don't know why but I love their loud, in-your-face personalities, plus they have great voices!

My Twenty-Third Birthday

Hey all! Welcome back again! Exactly one week ago from today, was a very special day for me... yes, it was my 23rd birthday! I didn't really do anything special this year since I was away from my friends but it's not like I normally do anything for my birthday anyway. :0/ I decided to have my annual free meal from Todai, which was absolutely delicious! This year, the restaurant seemed a bit short-staffed when it came to hostesses/servers, so the staff didn't seem too concerned about patrons eating just the fish from the nigri and discarding the glob of rice. Needless to say, I got my full money worth of sushi. :0]

Another interesting event I had was the weekend before my birthday, when I was dragged out to "celebrate" downtown. Sushiland is one of my favorite and affordable conveyor belt sushi restaurants, so for dinner I went to a bigger Sushiland with a sports bar. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this sushiland also had a special menu, items not on the conveyor belt.

The Dragon Roll - Shrimp Tempura, Eel, Crab Salad, flying fish roe, and avocado, then finished off with eel sauce and spicy mayonaisey sauce!

Shrimp Tempura, Seared Salmon, and California Rolls (from the conveyor belt).Las Vegas Roll and a side of creamy scallops and some salmon skin rolls.
Las Vegas Roll - Cream Cheese, Salmon, and yeah... I forget what else. BUT I highly recommend this roll, it was my favorite out of the bunch.
Volcano Roll - VERY DISSAPOINTING! This had an assortment of fish and creamy scallops piled on top, then broiled! YUCK!!!

What a great deal though! The larger plates of special sushi rolls ended being much cheaper than ordering from the conveyor belt. We also finished off our meal with shots of sake for $3.50 a bottle. :0] By the end of the night, I downed a bottle of sake, a jagerbomb, and a "mind eraser (well sized)" and felt absolutely no effects of the alcohol... quite amazing for a girl who is 4'11" and asian.
